Sudden proposal

Abid woke up feeling refreshed, the soft morning light streaming through the windows of his luxurious bedroom. He stretched, yawned, and got out of bed, his chiseled physique evident even under his sleek pajamas.

As he began to get ready for the day, Abid's gaze fell upon his reflection in the mirror. He smiled, satisfied with what he saw. His dark hair was perfectly styled, and his sharp jawline was accentuated by the subtle stubble.

Abid chose a dashing outfit – a crisp white shirt, tailored black pants, and a sleek black blazer. He looked every bit the powerful mafia leader he was.

With a final check of his appearance, Abid made his way downstairs to the grand dining hall. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and cooked breakfast wafted through the air, making his stomach growl with anticipation.

As he entered the dining hall, Abid's family looked up from their seats. His mother, a stately woman with a warm smile, greeted him. "Good morning, beta. You look handsome today."

Abid smiled, taking his seat beside his mother. "Thank you, Ammi." His dad is on business trip.

Just then, his younger brother, Ali, walked into the room, rubbing his sleepy eyes. "What's all the fuss about?" he asked, plopping down beside Abid.

Abid rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Ammi's just admiring my handsome face."

Ali snorted. "Yeah, right. More like Ammi's trying to marry you off."

Abid's mother shot Ali a playful glare. "Ali, beta, don't tease your brother."

Abid chuckled. "It's okay, Ammi. Ali's just jealous of my good looks."

Ali grinned mischievously. "Hey, I'm the charming one in this family."

Their mother laughed. "Okay, okay, let's focus on breakfast. Abid, I wanted to talk to you about something."

Abid's eyes narrowed slightly, his grip on his fork tightening. "What is it, Ammi?"

His mother placed a gentle hand on his arm. "You're not getting any younger, beta. It's time you thought about settling down."

Abid's expression turned thoughtful, his mind racing with the implications of his mother's words. " Not again ammi please!!". He said to his inner self. Ali, sensing an opportunity for teasing, chimed in.

"Ooh, Abid bhai getting married! Who's the lucky girl?"

Abid shot Ali a warning glance. "Shut up, Ali."

Their mother smiled, oblivious to the underlying tension. "Actually, I've already spoken to some families. There's a lovely girl – Sultana. She's beautiful, intelligent, and from a good family."

Abid's eyes met Ali's, a flicker of concern passing between them. Their mother had no idea about their involvement in the underworld, and they intended to keep it that way.

"I'll think about it, Ammi," Abid said finally, his voice measured.

Ali snickered. "Yeah, bhai's going to make a great husband. Just don't expect him to do any household chores."

Abid playfully punched Ali's arm. "Shut up, Ali."

Their mother laughed, seeming to take Abid's response as a positive sign. "That's all I can ask for, beta. Now, let's finish breakfast and discuss the details."

Abid nodded, his mind already turning to the potential consequences of his mother's suggestion. Little did she know, his life was far more complicated than she could ever imagine. And Ali seemed to be carefree was equally entrenched in his dark life.

Sultana carefully placed the last plate of pancakes on the dining table, stepping back to admire her handiwork. The table was set with their favorite breakfast dishes: scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Just then, her bhaijaan ( elder brother) humza khan walked into the room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Hey, Sis! Wow, you made breakfast!"

Sultana beamed with pride. "Happy birthday, Bhaijaan! I wanted to make your special day start off right."

Humza's face lit up as he took in the spread. "Thanks, Sultana! You're the best sister ever... except when you hog the TV remote!"

Sultana playfully rolled her eyes. "Hey, someone's got to protect you from your awful taste in TV shows!"

Their parents, Meher and Sulaiman, entered the room, smiling at the cozy scene. "Good morning, kids! Sultana, the breakfast looks amazing!"

As they sat down to eat, Humza teased Sultana, "You know, Sis, you're getting older too... maybe you should start acting like a grown-up!"

Sultana shot back, "Oh yeah? Well, someone's got to keep you in line on your birthday... and every other day!"

The family laughed and enjoyed their breakfast together, celebrating Humza's special day.

Humza pretended to be offended, "I'm shocked, Sultana! Shocked, I tell you!"

Sultana giggled, "Oh, come on, Bro! You know I'm just joking!"

Meher smiled, "That's the spirit, kids! Love, laughter, and a little bit of sibling rivalry to keep things interesting!"

Sulaiman chuckled, "And don't forget the birthday cake... which Sultana also made, I might add!"

Sultana grinned, "Hey, someone's got to keep the family traditions alive!"

Little did she know that a strom was waiting a head in her life 😮‍💨
